WE ARE ALL ANTIFA
As a Designer who has worked on everything from Business Cards to Billboards to laying out entire Lifestyle Magazines, Freedom of Speech and Expression is a pretty big deal.
Most folks have no connection to “Antifa.” With Antifa being considered a terrorist organization it creates an unsafe precedent for the average American because it sets a dangerous ambiguity for how dissent and protest are treated under U.S. law. Where is the line drawn at “abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” Unlike formal organizations with defined leadership, Antifa is a loose, decentralized movement with no official membership or structure. Declaring it a terrorist group would create an extremely vague category, allowing the government to apply terrorism statutes to individuals based solely on ideology, clothing, or online associations rather than concrete criminal acts.
This would blur the line between constitutionally protected free speech and legitimate threats to public safety. Peaceful protestors, journalists, or even bystanders could be swept into federal investigations simply for being near demonstrations where some participants identify as “anti-fascist.” The government could also use the designation to justify surveillance, detentions, or asset seizures without due process, eroding fundamental rights enshrined in the First and Fourth Amendments.
Once such a precedent is established, it could be applied against other activist movements across the political spectrum. Expanding counterterrorism powers to domestic political activity risks criminalizing dissent, chilling free expression, and undermining democratic accountability. In short, labeling Antifa a terrorist group threatens ordinary Americans’ freedoms far more than it enhances their security.
This is the reason I created this design. For Freedom of Speech and Expression. It’s available on several online shops, except Merch by Amazon which refuses to publish it for some reason. The online shops are listed on PeregrinusCreative.com.
